The Showdown Rodeo returns to St. Paul for four days of championship rodeo action, community spirit, and family-friendly fun.

In partnership with the Lakeland Rodeo Association, the St. Paul Agricultural Society is proud to host the LRA Finals as part of the 37th Annual Showdown Rodeo. Over five exciting performances, top cowboys and cowgirls from across the region will compete for year-end titles, buckles, prize money, and the honour of being named LRA Champion.

But Showdown Rodeo is more than just what happens in the arena. Rodeo Week brings the whole community together with a parade, markets, food vendors, family activities, entertainment, and events hosted throughout St. Paul.

Whether you’re a lifelong rodeo fan, a first-time visitor, or a family looking for a fun weekend, Showdown Rodeo is one of Northeast Alberta’s can’t-miss traditions.

A Proud St. Paul Tradition

The LRA Finals first came to St. Paul in 1988, thanks to the vision of dedicated community members who believed our town could host one of the best rodeo events in Northeast Alberta.

Since then, the event has grown into a major annual tradition, bringing together competitors, spectators, volunteers, businesses, and community organizations for a week of rodeo, celebration, and small-town hospitality.
